www.lathetrolls.com URL acting wacky (now fixed)

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

[admin note: This ancient thread refers to our prior URL.]

If you can read this message, you must know this already and have managed to find http://www.lathetrolls.phpbbweb.com.

The lathetrolls.com url is asking for a password or something. It's in german so I can't tell.

I don't know what is wrong. Dr. Dub? Please check in. thanks!

did Lathetrolls ever have www.lathetrolls.com?

I got in doubt, because that was the address in my "bookmarks" section, and this morning I had the same "password required" response. I always thought that what I had was the phpbbweb address, and I have now edited my bookmark accordingly.

If Lathetrolls never had the .com, then some mechanism must have accessed my "bookmarks" section and changed it. Scary. I shall have to ask a specialist.

hi there,

lathetrolls.com is just a redirect to www.lathetrolls.phpbbweb.com.

we had a major hacker attack starting last friday, so we had to temporarily
restrict access. everything is now up and running again.

sorry for the inconvenience.

cheers mex
