Using two VR T560 at once?
Hi,
Was wondering how this is usually done?
Two VR systems getting same audio signal and recording simultaneously? Any tips would be appreciated.

Re: Using two VR T560 at once?
hey! I do this every day, it's basically a doubled system.
my audio path looks like this:
first system
audio interface output 1-2 -> souri main unit -> meter -> amp ->fuses -> head
second system
audio interface output 3-4 -> souri main unit -> meter -> amp ->fuses -> head
there's a bit of a lag when dropping the head and cranking the run out groove but it works just fine.
the biggest issue is gathering the chip for both lathes. I've seen another multi-lathe system with two chip jars, but I use one chip jar and a Y-adapter
good luck!

Saving this!
Thinking about doing the same thing and running with two machines. Obviously it saves a bunch of time for 12” records. Do you use it for all sizes?

We eliminated Souri's system for a more direct signal path and run all the eq curve stuff in the DAW and just split the signal to the two amps. Took a bit of tinkering to get it dialed in and balanced but sounds great. On the vac side, it's a single vac to a pvc tee to each chip jar.
Re: Using two VR T560 at once?
What vac are you using for this? I'm looking into my 2nd system, likewise do all IRIAA in my DAW, bypassing the main unit. My vac is on the way out so wanted to upgrade so might as well look into one that handles 2 machines wellJesus H Chrysler wrote: ↑Wed Nov 11, 2020 11:01 pmWe eliminated Souri's system for a more direct signal path and run all the eq curve stuff in the DAW and just split the signal to the two amps. Hello LTTG. I have 2 pairs. One vacuum for all 4 of them, 2 swarf jars modded each to look after a pair. A laptop for each pair. But a pair is a big step up at least for a short while until you work out your own workflow.

I use one Karcher W2 https://www.amazon.co.uk/K%C3%A4rcher-WD2-Vacuum-liters-Yellow/dp/B00GFLG7OGPMST wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 9:22 amWhat vac are you using for this? For 4 machines. Works hard, do not overheat in a box or cupboard and it will last quite a while. I keep a spare always though they are very readily available. You can just open or close the vent at the top of the hose to get it perfect.

Hi dearest trolls,
Thanks for your answers! Will also check doing all the RIAA conversion in the box (DAW).. What software would you suggest?

Re: Using two VR T560 at once?
I used the EQ match is Fab Filter Pro Q to map my heads IRIAA, ive tried it on a few Hrs and each head seems to be slightly different so dont just make a standard IRIAA curve (althugh its reasonably close) but actually match it to program material
Re: Using two VR T560 at once?
I cheaper alternative to FabFilter that I use is CurveEQ.

For using to VR's with two chip jars, someone 3D printed me a Y adapter for a few euros! Works perfectly. Design below
