Restoration of Wilcox-Gay Recordio 6B30

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

Restoration of Wilcox-Gay Recordio 6B30

Hello Everyone,

I am currently working on restorating my Wilcox-Gay Recordio 6B30.

This is what I did so far:
- replaced some tubes that broke during shipment
- replaced astatic X-26 crystal cutting cartrige with other astatic X-26 crystal cutting cartrige that was rebuild by West Tech Services
- rebuild playback cartrige by putting a piezo element inside

Now I have a few questions.
All the tubes work, but the amplifier still doesn't work. I am very sure the capacitors have to be replaced so I am going to replace them soon.

In the meantime I placed 2 small amplifier/preamplifier boards inside the machine and connected them to the playback cartrige and the speaker. That works fine for playback.

Now for my rebuild X-26 cartrige: As the tube amplifier isn't working yet, I tried to connect it to a small bluetooth amplifier board but it is extremely quiet this way. Does anyone know what kind of amplifier could be used instead of the original tube one? I heard the crystal head expects around 75VRMS.
