Hello!
We at MY45 are looking for a good method, to store DMM Masters, so they can used longer,
when a 2nd or 3rd etc. set of stamper is needed.
I have heard, that it is possible, to do a nickelstamper on top of the DMM and then store it
with the nickel stamper on top of it.
Also vacuum shrinking can be an option, but we don´t know, which material to use...
Any hints?
Thank you in advance!
Andreas from MY45

Re: storage of used DMM Masters
Have you tried Nitto protective stamper tape? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DuLCpvX718Y
Nickel plating is a good idea. This has been done before.
I have some DMM masters that are 30 years old but the copper is the EMI formula not the Neumann/Teldec formula and they are still pretty good - not very tarnished at all.
