Anti static liquid
Hi folks, some quick tips on using my Shank anti static liquid would be greatly appreciated ie how much to use, type of cloth (if needed), how long to leave on ect. Thanks.
Re: Anti static liquid
I use makeup remover cotton pads. I just hold one against the bottle, then while the turntable is spinning gently wipe across the blank, then direct start cutting. I'm not sure this is the proper way, but works for me.

Cheers. Do I do go from outside to inside before cutting or do the wiping whilst cutting?
Re: Anti static liquid
I do the same, with a cotton ball, outside to inside while it's spinning until the blank is coated. Wait to dry, start cutting.

Wait to dry. Excellent advice. I was just about to crack on, cutting immediately after applying liquid. Much appreciated.

This is well worth reading. Although, it's not specific to MyShank--it's incredibly helpful regardless.

Re: Anti static liquid
Many thanks. I have come across his and I've been using it like a bible.
I think Iv sussed it now. Got myself a little air purifying ioniser for £15 from eBay. With regards to the liquid I've been using cotton wool pads going back and forth from the edge right upto the hole, and then squeezing the liquid onto to disk, particularly around the outer side, as this area seems to have the most static.
The only thing I don't have with regards to the guide is a heat lamp. If anyone can recommend one it would be appreciated.
Regards.
