Polycarbonate or PVC?
I have been searching around this forum trying to figure out the answer to this very question. It has been tough to figure out a definitive answer. So, I ask you all, which is better? Polycarbonate, or PVC? What are the pros and cons of each?
Thabks in advance for the replies.

Re: Polycarbonate or PVC?
I would really love to be able to get this going, because the answer to this question is still not really answered well on this forum.
Myshank/Souris blanks are said to be PVC, but there is a very thin layer of clear plastic over them. I am nearly certain it is not pvc actually. Anyone have any idea what it is?
Also, I know PC is tougher to cut, but how many hours of cutting or people getting on average. I am really trying to balance which route I should go.
Thanks in advance for you replies.

Re: Polycarbonate or PVC?
do you think it is PETG just on the surface? It must be co extruded or something with PVC. I'm not sure.
Re: Polycarbonate or PVC?
here's a thing I've thought about the plastic situation
souri blanks are likely a blend that we don't get in the US (or is not easily available without tons of testing)
the only place I found PETG sold in sheets was ACI Plastics in Chicago
(it's usually used for water bottles, etc)
I also don't know with the language barrier if PVC is just a more general term,
but my best guess it's a PET/PVC blend, 'softer' than polycarbonate, but just as durable.
