I bought my Scully lathe from him and had zero problems.

EDIT: I did email him a couple of weeks back for something else, and haven't heard of him. Hope he's OK.

He told me to have the freight co. contact him mid april to set pick and he hasn't replied since.

I sent ted $1500 USD Last year for an ortofon stereo cutter. Everything came through perfectly.

I know people had positive transactions with him in the past.

Hopefuly he is alright and can send me the equipment i bought from him.

I also saw good reviews and even communicated with a company in Germany who recently bought equipment from him, and they verified he was OK. Now that the money was sent, all communication has been cut off. feeling a little helpless. FYI....emailed mid March through beginning of April. Leo, I will send you an IM.

We have sent a pre-payment for the purchase of machine and since then we don´t have any news from him
We are very worried about this situation as we don´t have our money or the machine

The guy left with a lot of money to the Philipines.
His record press equipment is still for sale.
I know the confiscator.

The guy ripped off dozens of people by taking payments in advance.
He left with all that money to the Philippines. He has his wife and kid living there.
His record press equipment has been confiscated and is up for sale soon.

Hi Stansnel, Thanks for the information. Can I ask how you know he went to the Philippines and do you know his whereabouts? A lot of us who have open deals with Ted are in the dark as to what is going on with him as he will not return calls or answer emails or accept certified mail deliveries. Also, was his equipment repossessed by bank creditors...and what does confiscated mean? Yes there are several people on this board who are out money. We have claims to be settled before any equipment that we thought were buying (but was then confiscated) is resold again for profit...does that make sense?

I merged the two GalviTed topics, hence the back and forth of titles.

While I try to avoid having this site acting as a court when circumstances are unclear, this is a case where the authorities are involved, and discussion seems relevant, to say the least.

Hi there,

Olivier from Mental Groove Records here.

I met him circa 2011 when I was employee at ofmvinyl (part of official.fm) pressing plant in France. He was ok.

A complete equipment from cutting to pressing, including a fantastic manual Toolex (painted white/red), extruder etc... was bought from him to start the activity.

Sadly the pressing plant closed in 2013 and the machines were sold to Ted who picked them up but barely paid just a little advance, so technically they are still ofmvinyl/official.fm property and hopefully still stocked at his place.

I do have a pile of needed stampers at his warehouse in Varsseveld as well as valuable records of total value 1500€.
I last saw him at his house in march something.

Anyone with infos about this, like contact of possible prosecutor or address in Philippines, is welcome.
We musn't let him go that easily.
