Disco Press in Belgium was closed but it was taken over by a new owner and I think already open again for about 1.5 years/

They have also a new name. It is Discomat.
I cut regularly for them.

Yes we worked that out when we saw the Gotta Groove plant in the Discmakers video. One thing the Americans are really good at is marketing.... they don't say they own the plant they just show us a plant and with some careful wording they present themselves as something different. A bit like Furnace Manufacturing... their videos are so carefully worded that they too don't say they own the plant but the video footage sends the message that they do.

There's nothing wrong with being a broker... what's wrong is when they present themselves as an actual manufacturer.

reading the article on this now and it says that they have bought the presses they once owned...". they dont "quote" Discmakers CEO's words though. Seems like a off the record statement..

Either the journalist has a great imagination or perhaps no more than desperate attempt from the ceo to save the company...[emoji20]

And Disc Makers is "the official vinyl manufacturer for Record Store Day", go figure!!

So vinyl is far from dead. There are three new plants around...

1. EKS plant was sold to an optical disc replicator in Memphis so expect some news soon.
2. Small plant opening in NY.
3. A plant opened in Pakistan in November 2013 using Hamilton presses purchased from Disc Makers in 2001.

Any other new plants?
