It's cool because it has a professional cutter head on it (1D), but it's got the arm, as opposed to the overhead, which is much less cool. Not totally sure, but I'm guessing there aren't many (if any) options for lines per inch groove width.

Nice that it has the whole amp/speaker setup. Not sure it's worth $1500, though. I would much rather have a 6N ($1200) with a PA Amplifier ($200).

It's got the interchangable worm gear under the turntable like the K series but I'm not sure what lines per inch are available. There is also a direction changer for I/O and O/I. Yeah - it's worth about half what they're asking and I'm sure the "1 bid" is not legit.

I'm thinking the former. Looking at the other items he bid on he might be an audio equipment dealer, or just some audiophile nut with too much money and no sense of reality.
