WTB cutterhead. audax or any

hi trolls.
I've bought a rek o kut tr43 h.
everything seemed to be good....

but the addax rh5 head he sold me with the lathe is not working.
i opened it, its burned
ill try to repair......good friend of me is an electrical engineer, really good one.

really sad. everything is here.........the signal chain is perfect. but this is a damn thing now!

does anybody please(!) have a cutter head for sale or knows somebody, that sells non-smoked cutter heads?

im also doin a head this weeks by myself, but this needs some time........

Hi,

If you are at all handy, you should be able to repair it yourself. Just strip it down and get to the coil. Measure the diameter of the wire and cross that to the gauge in a wire table. Unwind the coil (possible in sections due to the burnt wire) from the bobbin and note the unwound length. Replace with the same and you should be good to go. Take lots of photo's/notes during the tear down so can keep track of what goes where. You may also have to replace some rubber damping material as well. These heads are pretty simple and not too bad to work on. You have nothing to lose and if you get to know the head, you'll be able to keep it running in the event it fails again.
