D is already sourcing his own plastic blanks.

I can make Vinyl Recorder diamonds.

The only part that sucks is that Souri doesn't supply much for documentation. So, servicing the unit will be challenging in that you would need to reverse engineer the circuitry just to maintain it.

Otherwise there is no issue. Once someone is nice enough to supply some of their own personal documentation of the system to the community, we could completely nullify this particular bully tactic employed by Souri.

In other words, this scheme that Souri has created can be circumvented entirely if our community could assemble some descent documentation of the system. Supplies are already not an issue.

I would buy a new one via Souri but there are no immediate plans for a new batch.

And are they of the same quality? I've read somewhere Souri's blanks were from Bayer.

I can produce the Styli. I don't at the moment. I have samples from which to make correct shanks.

For crying out loud Trolls!!!! It is not that fucking difficult to make blanks. SAME AS SOURI's.

It is called Makrolon. It is a Beyer product. It is two clear sheets with a black sheet in the middle. Cut to circles with center holes via a CNC machine. Anyone can have them made. Nearly every plastics distributor in the city of Chicago stocks Makrolon. Most have a CNC machine. You contact a distributor, tell them your needs, they give you a quote, you pay, then ship you a box with discs. Simple as pie. Easy peasy nice and easy.

I have no problem supporting like someone like Souri or Opcode for their products to help keep them in the game. Cash flow and demand yields happy vendors and new products.

I can get the same blanks but the cost here after cutting and drilling is more than the Europeans sell 12" circles for

The blanks on Vinylike.de are single sheet. Clear plastic. They are not the sandwiched black style like Souri. That is why they are cheaper. If you were to get pricing for single sheet clear I think you'll find the price is the same. You pay extra for black...

Would be incredible to own a CNC to cut circles/shapes at will.

I personally don't think it is easy to replicate Souri's blanks ie clear black clear sandwich I have attempted this and the problem is fixing them together any attempt to glue them would be clearly visible through the clear material?
If you are ok with one sided disks that is easy just remove protective film on one side and paint with with any colour of spray paint,
CNC machining it not essential to make the disks, I built a very simple fixture using a Router that will easily cut 7",10" & 12" disks 2 or 3 at a time if interested I can take some photographs
When I was considering purchasing a used vinyl recorder Souri did offer some training for a price (approx €1000 ) and after this would provide service / support as normal

Makrolon comes from Bayer already sandwiched. Already exactly like Souri's. This is the last time I am repeating myself here. I guess I need to post a video before some people will get this fantastically simple concept.

Makrolon looks black. But, if you cut into either side. The chip/swarf is clear!!!!! Clear!!!!!
Skip to the 7 minute mark. Look at what he is holding. Does that look black? Nope. It is clear.

Souri doesn't make his own plastic. Ok???? And, judging from the complete lack of replies to anyone. I don't think he is making much of anything anymore. His discs are comprised of makrolon.

Something like this is what you all are looking for.

I'm in touch where Souri extrude his sheets, this is not Makrolon. But you are right by saying this is sandwiched exactly LIKE Souri's. There is so much product sandwiched, Lexan and Makrolon are from the same
family product.
