I'm not in the market for something like this, but I would like to see a close up of the head on that thing. Whats going on there? Just curious.

good question.

it's a mono RCA head, with a self-made heater circuit faceplate. it's an efficient, safe method for getting heat to the stylus. Similar to a Capps heater faceplate. but without the springs. You wrap the heater wire around the two copper leads protruding from the barrier strip

Anyone interested in having it shipped ... I will ship it via freight/pallets and it will under no circumstances arrive damaged. Someone shipped me some material through UPS once; it was damaged, thankfully insured, but it took over a year to find a machine shop willing to reverse engineer the damaged part.

$2100 in labor and materials for a fairchild advance crank. That is the cost of results.
