As the forum is getting bigger and more and more members are joining - not sure how many are real, but that does not matter at this time.
There was a request for a pro section.
We this is how I see it - but it is up to you as it is your forum.
Let me be the first to say there are some great people on this forum and lots of good information for the pro, semi pro and Pro Am or New guys and girls.
As there has already been a request for a Pro section, I think it would be a good idea to section it out a bit.
Hardware sections or they could be sub sections.
Section 1
Neumann, Scully, Fairchild, Presto D, RCA series etc
Sub - Heads - Neumann, Scully, Westrex, Grampian, Presto D / SC1 etc
Sub - Cutting amps - Neumann, Scully, Capps, Westrex, Grampian Presto etc
Section 2
Vinyl Recorder
Section 3
Vinylium
Section 4
Suitcase lathes - Presto, Rek o Kut, RCA etc - The list is longer
Sud sec heads Presto C , RCA, Audex etc
Sub sec cutting amps - most are built in.
Section 5
Other lathes.- Home users lathes - Wilcoxgay etc etc
Supplies section - Blanks, Styli, labels, selves etc.
Repair section -
Recommended buy section -
Audio section, mastering, RIAA, NAB, software, etc.
Again this is only an idea - the structure may well be different.
This way you could start splitting out the sections and we would not have people asking
the mods could also start moving posts to the correct sections - if they are not to off topic.
Lathe Trolls logo - no PHPBB logo
Sponsored Supplier sections.
I currently run three other forums if that helps.
Backups?

Sounds good, but if you do split up the pro section like that, don't forget that this forum has come to include Pressing Equipment also.
Steve, I'm not "asking" to be a mod, but I have been visiting pretty frequently since joining and expect to continue, so let me know if you need another hand for squashing spam. It really has been poping up everywhere.
The worst part about this spam, is that some of our most valuable contributers (like mossboss) sometimes think its a real post and reply with puzzlement, and that probably isn't good encouragement to get them to keep "slumming" with us trolls...
