DIY lathe with Arduino
Hi friends!
I'll show you a little how to assemble my homemade lathe.
Please forgive me if I make mistakes in the text. This is a computer translation from Russian.
One day I found out that you can record a record at home. This idea became my dream.
I looked for books and watched movies about how people do it with their own hands. I was very lucky and one good person gave me a big aluminum disc. Many years ago this disc was prepared for a record player.
This is what I started with. It became clear that first of all it was necessary to make it rotate at a stable speed. I used to do this (oh my God!) stepper motor and arduino. In order to support the disk and connect it to a stepper motor, I ordered a part from a turner. (continuation will be in the next posts)

Re: DIY lathe with Arduino
I was afraid that the vibration from the stepper motor would ruin the recording, but it turned out better than I expected.
I will immediately show the machine in operation so that you understand what I am talking about.

Re: DIY lathe with Arduino
The disc rotation system and the cutter feed system are completely independent.
The disc accelerates smoothly so that there is no disruption of steps.
This function is performed by Arduino
