WELCOME TO OUR NEW HOME.
The Secret Society of Lathe Trolls has moved!!
For some of you this may be a subtle change, as you were already accessing the site using the "lathetrolls.com" forwarding URL so kindly contributed by Dr. Dub for many years. But our site is now on a new server where I will have far more administrative shell access, and therefore more ability to fix glitches.
Thanks to Bizhat for having hosted the site for the last 7 years. We are now on Hostmonster!
Please email me if you are noticing any glitches or problems. I'd love to have confirmation that people are actually able to log on and post private messages, etc etc.
EDIT: For now, cookies are enabled to lathetrolls.xxx, as oppposed to lathetrolls.xxx. If you are having login problems, use lathetrolls.xxx.

AndyBee, you mean the links at top? It does not seem I can make them active.
hm! Slower? Let's keep an eye on that. There may be a thing or two I can do.

Hm, I seem to be able to pull up the new site through the .net address, but not the .com address. Anyone else experiencing this, or might it resolve itself eventually?

Re: WELCOME TO OUR NEW HOME!!
Let me know what specific problems you are getting on .com.
I found that on my Firefox browser, using .com, the cookies and cache kept sending me back to the old site.
Go to Firefox > Preferences > privacy, go to "clear your recent history" , and check "cookies" and "cache" (or, first, clear specific "lathe trolls" and phpbbweb cookies).

Only little niggle for me is it keeps on logging me off, even though I'm ticking the "log me in automatically....." box.
Using Safari, if that makes any difference

I'm using Firefox and having the same problem. I'm glad to know it's not just me.

Re: WELCOME TO OUR NEW HOME!!
As you each report things things, please let me know your browser, your operating system (OSX, Windows XP/Vista/8 etc)
AND whether you are using .com or .net.
There are probably going to be cookie problems using .com. right now. I'm not sure that's a problem I can fix, and I may need to give up on the "dual domain" idea.
Try using .net for now.

Re: WELCOME TO OUR NEW HOME!!
.com works now, after cleaning browser's cache. What is the official? .net or .com?

Re: WELCOME TO OUR NEW HOME!!
Neither is more "official" than the other. The primary domain on the hosting server is .com, but I have the forum cookies set for .net at the moment. I think I need to reformat it a bit more. This is all new to me, folks....php, mySQL stuff.
I think you are less likely to end up logged out if you use .net for now.

I wonder if the login issues are any better or worse. I'm still trying to figure out the cookie issues.

I'm still getting login issues, too. Have to re-log despite the browser remembering everything. Running Chrome 24.0.1312.56 m / Win 7

Lathetrolls.xxx still logs me out after every visit; Lathetrolls.xxx keeps me logged in. I'm using Firefox 15 on Windows XP SP3.
