build a cheap microscope mount for the presto lathe

Anything goes! Inventors! Artists! Cutting edge solutions to old problems. But also non-commercial usage of record cutting. Cost- effective, cost-ineffective, nutso, brilliant, terribly fabulous and sometimes fabulously terrible ideas.

something i put together this afternoon as a test, seems to work. cheap and easy to make, functional and when painted will look good, best of all it works. i will be using a hobby microscope for now. more than enough power for the grooves and will have a light that will plug into the existing jack with switch on the lathe. simple and total cost to build this was 8 bucks...
