whats the diffrence between apollo lacquer masters and transco lacquer masters, is one better then they other?

The Apollo masters use the old Pyral/Audio Devices Inc. ("audiodiscs") formula and Transco are supposed to be the Transco formula. A friend of mine who cut from the 1950's through the early 1980's says that practically no studios used the Audiodisc product for masters - they all preferred Transco's product.

I use the Apollo Masters. I don't see any issue with their sound. This is a great question though. Which discs do you prefer and why?
