Large Console TT I.D please. Presto?
Hi All,
I'm trying to I.D. this beast (it's not mine). It has a twin Bodine motor as you can see like a Presto 64a, but everything else looks different. The cabinet looks RCA to me. It's possibly a mish mash of parts. I havent seen the platter or arm before either. Appreciate any wisdom, can't sleep till I find the answer, ha.

Re: Large Console TT I.D please. Presto?
I think i have answered my own question....appears to be a crazy Japanese broadcast beauty from the 1950s. An NEC P-26

Looks like the Japanese took a Presto 64a and made it even more amazing.

Re: Large Console TT I.D please. Presto?
Looks nice. Was first thinking of an EMT for some parts.
Re: Large Console TT I.D please. Presto?
Yes its very EMT like. Looks very solid but refined. May well be some EMT bits on it as i still think it's a bit of a mish mash possibly, but mainly its this Nec/Denon thing. I still think cabinet may be rca. Apparently this model is referred to as the EMT of Japan as well. Cheers.
