Embossing stereo on polycarbonate with Presto Lathe

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

Guys, is anyone embossing in Stereo on 12 inch polycarbonate disks, on a vintage lathe?

I have heard that there is a stereo cutting head that *can be used on the old Prestos or Rec-o-kut lathes. Is anyone here doing it via embossing and how is the sound quality?

Can anybody shed some light on this for me, it would be most appreciated!

Thanks,
Retro.

Check out the Newbie Cutting Guide — it breaks everything down.

Embossing = mono only.

If you want stereo, you need diamond cutting (not embossing).
