I'm considering putting an order in for (quite a few) bulk precut 85mm labels.
I've always used laser on glossy sticker paper for labels, but it crossed my mind that if I were to make blank labels available for sale with lathe cuts, printing/stamping/painting on glossy labels may become an issue.
Is there a preference amongst the community for glossy, matte or semi-gloss labels?

I do laser printing on matte paper myself, people seem to be happy with them

Re: Labels - Glossy or Matte?
I make mine on glossy photo water resisting paper printing with ink-jet photo printer and they look great. I had a big order that wanted custom shaped labels so I bought a plotter and this brought the opportunity to test with whatever I have in the local shops. Curious to try with matte paper but with my 10-15 records per month it will take me some time before I finish the current stock
