Looking for US Person to Lathe Cut Lots!
Hi, I'm looking at starting a web platform that allows artists to upload artwork and audio files and then sell single lathe-cut records on demand, then ship them to end customers.
US-based is ideal as most of the customers will be there.
Anyone here who would be interested in being the manufacturing arm of something like this please get in touch. It would start small, but would hopefully grow to some decent volume, and we would capitalize additional cutting lathes as required.
Post here or PM me. Would be great to hear your ballpark prices if you were to cut 50 double side 10"/12" per month, 500, or 5000 per month.
Audio would be delivered pre-checked/processed/mastered and ready to cut.

Re: Looking for US Person to Lathe Cut Lots!
as someone who does regular orders and these days maybe 10-20 one offs a month, the SETUP is the killer.
regular folks who don't know what it means to own their audio files, or have low quality rips from youtube and stuff, it takes just as long to setup these cuts as it does to transfer them to disc. lots of back and forth with people who have youtube, soundcloud, apple music, spotify playlists and don't understand how links to those are not usable for cutting directly.
that being said I'd be down to help in some way, I don't think I could be your major producer as I have full time lathe cutting business of my own (7 years full time now!)
but I would be down to pinch hit if you're in a bind!
