Hey guys (and gals) ..
I notice some chirping sounds on my cuts lately. Almost like a birding tweeting .. not loud, but noticeable. I am cutting with a Grampian and diamond stylus, no heat. Any ideas?

Re: Chirping sound on cut
sounds like the stylus skipping every so slightly (unnoticeable when watching) could be due to warped blanks, or slight imperfections.
or just caught chip causing the stylus to raise up and dig in when it comes back down.
I've had this a few times, usually re-calibrating the weight on the dashpot/head weight on the VR helps.
For the lofi Presto setup - I've had this issue embossing when the stylus catches the blank the wrong way and makes some chip.
(could have been the blank, the stylus angle shifting over time, etc)
