SAL74B POWER SUPPLY BULB

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

Thanks

Are you sure it is 240 volts? It should be stamped on the base, I did a quick search on eBay plenty of BA7 bulbs but only up to 24 volt 3 watt.

Have you tried Digikey, Farnell, Conrad, RS Components or Allied?

You may find what your are looking for or on the off chance Maplin.

240 Volt is not a regular value you see very often. Try US Ebay you will find it, it may take time or someone here may know of a source.

They will be out there it is just finding them that will be the issue. I am not familiar with it's use or any of the Neumann circuits.

Would it be possible to use a lower voltage type and a dropper resistor? Is the role critical?
