japanese unknown lathe stereo

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

Sort of looks like a clunky version of the Vestax.

From those videos seems the version that they are using at the studio in the vid is in fact mono. It has a nice looking overhead on it though.

Seems from the vids that a chip vacuum would make a nice upgrade for them.

The only Japanese lathe i've ever seen was made by Denon in 1953 and claims to be japans' first recording lathe.
Denon made high end turntables too, some of them used a lathe motor, presumably their own.
