Making a lathe with a washing machine motor

Well someone is currently bidding on it. I went back and checked the email he sent me, and his english wasn't as bad as I thought it was, but he did say he would be shipping it from his studio in Tampa, Florida...and the auction says he's in Memphis, MO. For a few years I've wondered about this description at http://audiotools.com/lp3.html : Fostex Makes a damn good record cutter that has a tangential cutter and a normal arm for playback I've never found any other info on this machine...is it something that was only available in Japan?..or they made...
