I will certainly give that a try!
I have avoided stylus heating due to Souri making me nervous about applying it to the diamond.
I guess its time to start experimenting. .

Re: Mechanical noise T560 Vinyl recorder
Thanks so much for quick reply and suggestions. I heat to 40c as suggested by Souri and I haven't used Stylus heating as it is a brand new diamond and Im a bit scared to, to be honest! I have the precision platter and I also ensure that the platter is not too hot before placing the next vinyl down. ...

Mechanical noise T560 Vinyl recorder
Hello Trolls! I'm really hoping someone can help here: I have a mechanical sound that is transcribing itself onto the vinyl that I cut with my Vinyl Recorder. Today I had a big day of testing where this sound was coming from, changing over to a brand new cutting diamond, checking earthing etc. No lu...

I use to cut just with the Technics 1210 MK 2, then I purchased Souris motor and the cuts became MUCH better.

Unwanted sound cutting with no audio source on T560
Hi all,, , I'm reasonably new to the Vinyl Recorder, love the machine and have been doing reasonable quality cuts.. Very happy with it. I recently read on here that a good idea was to cut a vinyl without an audio source, with the cutter amp on, which I did. I was surprised to see on my plugin that t...

Re: Vinyl Recorder: flexis?
I have no problem buying my blanks from Souri, I would just like to experiment with different colours and shapes.. I wanted to make a limited edition "Circular saw blade" type record.. Any ideas where to get? Would I cut with a sapphire onto a different product from his blanks? Who does the sapphire...

Re: calibrate /configure T560
Yes I agree,, I had some people come and look at the machine who were suppliers of audio components and they couldn't believe the mixer we were using and the fact that the gain was 100%.. If anyone has any ideas how to improve this setup and like stated remove the RCA altogether, that will be great....

He states they are PVC on his website. Why would he lie? And why is it so hard to get these blanks?

Thanks for your help..
So do you do this with every record that you cut? Or just one tester (throw away) disc? Then just leave it at that setting?

Re: Tried cutting on Polycarbonate, broke my needle..
Im happy to send a Souri black blank to anyone who wants to do the test.
