Right channel dropout Vinyl recorder
Hello Trolls.. Was cutting some Blues to 7” this afternoon and noticed the right channel keeps dropping out quite substantially and quite audible. Using Vinyl recorder. Don’t want to hassle Souri as I’m sure this is easily resolved. I bought machine new in 2013. Things I have tried to find problem m...

Re: calibrate /configure T560
You simply cannot ever stop learning this machine. And it does take a few years to even start to think you know what you are doing.. Make improvements, do lots of testing, go through lots of blanks. . I have found eq matching to be very beneficial (match the cut audio to the source audio with Ozone ...

I got one and I quite like the guy.. Always been great to me.
I think he looks at it as an advantage if you are a musician/label..

Looks like i may have to buy a stereo microscope then!
Mono is just not "cutting" it. (Pun intended)
If you guys can totally vouch for it, and it helps then who am I to argue?

Re: New cutter problem with VR :(
Sorry for not responding sooner . I have only touched the tip of what can be done on this machine, but one thing I know for certain is that the cutterhead must be parallel with the vinyl. A few things that I found quite useful and good by myself: Put a spirit level on the turntable. Get it level. Th...

Re: T560 - What's your method to align a new VR diamond?
IDEAS: Stick a micro spirit level on the front of the cutterhead to get the vertical level. . Allow for the extra weight of the level. As for getting the diamond in the shank straight, my gosh - the only idea would be to have some lines setup to use as a guide for the microscope???? Line up the cutt...

Re: T560 - What's your method to align a new VR diamond?
Surely there can be a tool to use?
My eyes are ok, but to get it 100% correct requires a tool.. Anyone on here use any other method?
Half tempted to work on this if anyone is interested or has any tips??

Re: Exchange Dynamic Cutterhead Vinylrecorder Souri
Buy the precision plate if you are planning on cutting for a business. It makes a lot of difference.
And only buy 2mm discs (12") - the 1.5mm ones warp all too easy..
That's my 2 cents!

T560 - What's your method to align a new VR diamond?
I use the mono microscope, then add the new diamond and check that it is square in the shank, then push down a bit to secure with Souri tool. It never seems like it can be consistent? Are there any additional tools to use to make this job a bit easier? as you all know the cutting diamond is so small...

Re: New cutter problem with VR :(
From that picture it looks to me like your cutterhead is not vertical. Get a 90 degree set square, and use an old record - put it against the front of the cutterhead, then check the horizontal "sides" of the cutterhead are parallel to the record too.. There is a knob on the side, be careful not to l...

Re: T560 Modifications - What have you done?
Yeah I have played around with attenuator too.. Is the little mixer solely there for the Phono input? As in some sort of phono converter ?? I am baffled as to why it is in the chain at all? Especially as the gain is maxed out - this is always a no-no in dj'ing and generally audio. I am considering g...

Re: T560 Modifications - What have you done?
It baffles me in Souris system why there is a volume on the mixer (fader up and down), a "blue tacked" PFL (Monitor) level dial and another volume level on the Main unit.
Shouldn't it just be volume to Source/volume to pickup (monitor)?
