Indeed Sir Funny you mentioning the drive system as I was just admiring it "look" /design & thinking about adopting it into a diy project I'm toying ideas with. I am debating which system to drive a platter is best? Direct, idler wheel, or belt etc. http://www.lathetrolls.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=63...

Re: my lathe mockup (idea)

Sauszi thank you. I understand a bit for sure. You mention drive, which is another on my list queries. is direct to platter better than zdrive to wheel to platter or belt drive etc. these machines have a wheel under the deck & i want to drive it from outside and use resin poured in to fill platter t...

my lathe mockup (idea)

Hello All, At the beginning ov the month I found a 1941 recordio jr. At first I didn't realize how small it would be, because there doesn't seem to be much info out there on these. I did find an ad for it were they are showning it compared to the much large furniture style home recorders, so I thoug...

Sadly even though the unit is perfectly clean and has no smell of electronic burn out it does not work ATM :(

Very interesting records with 40 tracks.
takes only 3-4 turns @ 45rpm to end track.
wondering how easy that is to do?

Mattel TLC (Touch & Learn Computer)

Another interesting rare find.

Going to disassemble and have a look at the workings inside.

Has interesting slide in record player like a Philco record, latemodel voicewriter, etc.

Interesting leading on these records.

More photos coming soon.

Re: Compensation for a reissue?

I think the most wonderful thing about the music industry is the fact that there is no set way in doing business. One can make their own ways to do deals, with no blue print to follow. You say you have contacted the copywrite holders & they are on board. Yet they have not asked for compensation? If ...
