Re: There are no dumb questions

Hello,
Noise also comes when the stylus is too sharp, tearing the bottom of the groove.
You can dull out the point by letting it emboss for a while, (5-15 minutes). To avoid spoiling many blanks, I usually do it in a locked groove.
Hope it helps.

Re: Looking for advice for a Vanrock 101 embossing issue

Hello,
Try adding some weight to the head, a couple of metal washers on top, per example.
Hope this helps.

All stylii I used were that measure.

Note- TB6600 is for steppers so you have to connect just two of the four outputs, the motor only have one winding.

Re: Motor Speed Control (VFD - Variable Frequency Drive)

Hi,  I'd like to emboss at half speed too, that seems a big improvement.  Well, the best solution may be a mechanical reduction of speed, and let the motor work in the conditions it was designed for,but I cant figure out how to do it easily.   About electronically, I have drived induction motors (no...

. Did you already tried to make real cutting carbide similar to diamond design?
I tryed, but not for long enough, managed to get a continuous swarf, but way too noisy.
Nothing like a diamond, for that.
