So the Rubber band on the outer edge of the platter of my lathe is warped and making noise and slightly adjusting pitch. Does anyone know if I can get another somewhere or a DIY fix???

So I've been using a small amount of Turtle wax to ease the friction when "embossing" or impressing into the plastic. Think I learned it from the Peter King videos.... It Works great BUT I'm wondering if something less toxic would work just as well. Vegetable oil? anyone have any advice in these mat...
