Re: My DIY stereo lathe diary - design and build
Hi just seen you lathe photos.
My observation, you’ve put the upright posts too close together. I know you’ve done this to secure and box in the turntable but you’ll really struggle to swap the blanks over (unless you are building a tiny Cutterhead)

Re: For Sale: kingston Dubplate cutter Overhead
Leemichael... I might be interested in buying it from you. Are you interested? I’m going to hold out a little longer to see if I can find a SC-99 to reunite it with. Otherwise I’m going to build a unique complete portable cutting system with it using one of our stereo Nautilus cutting heads (one of...

Re: Trying to bring some science into my DIY embossing mess (Calibration Tool WIP)
Cool project! One important thing to flag though: Right now your measurement chain includes the playback system, which means you’re not just measuring the head — you’re measuring: cutterhead × disc × cartridge × stylus × phono stage Cartridges and styli can easily introduce large FR deviations, reso...

Re: Caruso Pre Amp Feedback
Back of the amp is correct.
It’s industry standard for
Pin 1 Ground
Pin 2 Hot +
Pin 3 Cold -
This amplifier also seems underpowered for a cutter head.

Re: Who can help me with my VR T560 cutterhead?
A guy named ruben rubio was posting on fb groups that he made replacement drivers for the t560 cutterhead. I have no idea if it's true or what quality to expect. He got banned from the t560 users group because he spammed them a lot. So he was kind of problematic but his advices helped me solve an i...

Re: ‘Mapping’ a head analog?
Digitally mapped heads combine both the RIAA curve and the flattening of the resonances.
Personally if I was going down the analog route, I’d add an external RIAA circuit in a box and then you’d only need a handful of parametric EQ channels to do the rest!

Yep that’s cooked!
I’ll restart the bidding at $50 and I’ll turn it into a dummy load for setting up feedback systems

Re: Cut head
Sorry for late answer. :-) leemichael, what stops your mono head from being used for cutting instead of embossing? I will check this out tonight. Embossing mono head does not have stylus Heat and the stylus holder is designed for embossing stylus. Diamond mono head has stylus Heat and accepts 320/3...
