For new, only place readily available where you can actually buy something is MyShank for Nightingale or HeLiX.

Otherwise second hand if you’re lucky, SC99, Caruso, Corinth, SX68, SX74.

90-2000 is first generation, very old and not the same.
ST is 2000 onwards, SST around 10 years later, now on the SST2. All have major improvements on every update.

No the wires are ultra flexible and soft silicon coated 20 awg purposefully chosen for this reason.

Why not a stereo head? What’s your lathe and budget?

Post a clip, sounds like mechanical breakdown of one of the drivers from being pushed too hard for long periods.

Try cutting with one driver at a time momentarily.

There should be a thin strip of metal for the mount to bite into using the 3 tiny grub screws on the side of the mount.

Open the cover, remove metal clip and unscrew the nut under the lever then you can pull it out.
