Not sure about that unfortunately, as I've never used it. I imagine that is the case however looking at the manual.

What are you guys lubricating the lead screw with?

Looking for the same! Might be worth creating a custom DXF to accomodate the slight lip in the stock SP-10 platter. I remember seeing at some point in the past James at Sillietoe was considering having a vacuum platter for SP10 machined. I wonder if a design was ever made?
