I've been cutting records with my V8 for a year now, and I couldn't be happier. It's fully compatible with needles and blanks from the usual suppliers. The price/performance ratio is spectacular. Nedelcu rules!

I've used acetone (nail polish remover) and pith wood and had no issues ever in decades. Just don't clean the stylus or advance ball over a lacquer on the turntable - if any acetone gets on the disc, it will dissolve the lacquer coating.
