Re: Looking for a good lathe

I am looking at purchasing Souri's lathe as well- Does he still make you come to Germany or does he now have an American rep? You still must travel to Germany and train on the unit. I just purchased a T560 from him in November of 2019 so he is definitely still active. Great machine. Souri is a grea...

Re: How to use and Test presto k-8 lathe

That is a pretty big topic to hope to be solved in one thread. However, there are a lot of previous threads on this forum about operating a k8 and general cutting and testing methods. Use the search button to search for k8. Also search for the newbie starter guide i wrote. It will answer a lot of q...

You can: *Contact Souri directly *Wait for one to become available secondhand via the forums/reverb/interwebs *Build your own *Go with a different, non-stereo lathe (of which there are man...

Re: VR suction problem

Ok, thank you Discomo, for clarification. In fact, it was the first time, that I saw on the VR website that an angle of 0 degrees ist recommended to be best. I had a look at my handwritten notes from the training in late 2018: the angle shall be approx. 10 degrees. I fully agree that the cutting an...

Re: Vinylrecorder mixer problem

Noises exist from the fact that the groove speed controller is also powered by the heater stylus power. If you see my thread on self powering them, POOF.. The sounds are gone. . Interesting. Can you give a link to this thread? Thanks. Looks like you use a computer ATX power supply (12v plug) and co...

I have a Reitschle VTE-8 rotary pump which I love. Pretty quiet and very strong suction. Came from Souri but not a side-channel blower.

Re: Souri's T560 Cutting Machine

The dimensions and function of the T560 are very well adapted in combination with the SL1200. Can anyone say what needs to be modified to use the T560 with the SP10 -only height adjustment of the cutterhead or further modifications? Thank you I can't speak to the SP-10 specifically aside from knowi...
