Re: ElasticStage = Lasers (By Their Own Claims)
My guess is that some people would be 'scared' of the term 'lathe cut', that's why they are trying to hide it

Re: Anti slip serrations on 7" records
from a DJ perspective this is the thing i hate the most on older 7". from now on when i order 7" i will explicitly ask to have them without anti-slip ring (just in case)

Are you talking about those (...)? Hello zdenek, exactly! Model 602. I want to know more about the employed transducers. Any further information is highly appreciated. VR: voltage to LPI info needed
Hi, I remember someone posted such a table long time ago but can't find it anymore. Does anyone have it or maybe if someone knows the formula how to calculate it myself? Thanks!

Re: Let's talk about DIY pressing
So guys i want to warm up this thread a little bit. Long time working on my diy press. Thanks to mark and thomas for turning my brain on and collect some ideas. Re: Picture disc
in the past i've tried picture discs with 2 blanks and paper between them with 3M spray glue. after some period of time when you bend the record both parts split. since then i started with double side foil, you may break on of the sides but wont be able to separate them. to get rid of the bubbles i ...

Re: Cutting Polycarbonate with a Diamond Stylus?
Thanks Displacedsnail! I think I got confused by the newbie guide, under the diamond cutting needle section it lists . (PC, PVC, PETG, LD/A) so I assumed PC was able to be cut with a diamond. The trouble I am having is the embossing grooves are to shallow for a 7” I’m trying to do for a friend who ...

Re: Elasticstage - short run record production
@mossboss, If you open the site and scroll down to the end of the page you will find the calculator - 1 sold unit - they earn 33.90GBP - you earn 8GBP, 1000 sold recs - 9100 GBP for the artist. It's not bad (for them)

Re: Elasticstage - short run record production
Very very interesting, I still maintain that the economics past 50 copies do not add up! Also, Assuming that pressing plants with in house cut plate outfits reduce the cost to clients, as well as outside suppliers of cuts and metal work, then it is a case of how long this will last! So assume a lac...

Re: Needle accumulated plastic on stylus
use the cleaning fluid. souri said 'leave it overnight' or 'give a lot of heat', so a few times i've tried the 2nd option. put cleaning fluid on ear cleaning stick, put the diamond on top of it and give a lot of heat. it starts smoking but also plastic gets removed. don't leave it for long, i see th...
