It's the capstan is locked up and not turning when gear is engaged. Can hear humming from the motor. Gonna get some wd40 and spray in the top of the motor and manually turn her to loosen up. Put new oil in last night. If that doesn't work I'm going to open up the motor and clean the bearings.

All of a sudden I went to switch into 33rpm mode and the platter locked up and won't spin. When I put it back into the free mode it spins but as soon as I engage a speed it locks up. I have yet to open her up. Any ideas?
