Vinylrecorder and blank disks
Hi, Spent last few days cutting records. Hadn't turned on my Vinylrecorder since Spring... So, as usual, lack of practice and quite a few damaged records to start with. Then, everything starts to run smooth again! I'm actually running out of blank discs, got around 25 left right now. The last 25 I c...

Re: Dissappearing grooves!
Maybe some unflexibility around your dashpot. It must be able to move and very flexible (up and down and a bit left/right too) By dashpot you mean the cutterhead attachment? Dissappearing grooves!
Again, I'm having a problem with my Vinylrecorder: Maybe you know what's happening... When I cut a Lp (33 r.p.m.) problem happens on the first few grooves of the record. The first 2 or 3 grooves completelly dissappear just on one small sector of the record, maybe just a 10º space, the other 350º of ...

Re: Thinking about the Vinylrecorder...
Mark, thanks a lot. I'll ask a friend for a ohmmeter and check it. My knowledge of electronics is virtualy zero... Has any of you tried this with a Vinylrecorder stylus? Regarding my second question ("closing the circuit" with a sepparate string of copper), has any of you experimented with this? The...
