Rolandjays vacuume plate?

Im thinking about this platter, but i cant get ahold of rolandjays.

Im wondering how id get it to work on a presto 8dg.
Im totally new to this.

Anybody got any experience?

I talked with the guy i purchased it off of, unfortunately he couldnt figure it out either and it came from an estate sale. So it might not even be local to milwaukee.

Yes, theres no 45rpm setting, by the selection lever.

Im gonna do my best at getting better pics.

But also if anybody is interested in it, get at me. Im pretty sure im gonna let this baby go.

I think with a little work it could be brought back into shape for sure. Biggest issue for me is it doesnt do 45rpm. So i may send her to market. If the auto equalizer is the box behind the "sled", that says presto on it, but im fairly certain this isnt a presto unit. Im fairly new to lathe's, so im...

I can, i have too get them however. Shes mothballed.

I purchased it here in milwaukee. Not sure where it came from originally.

Damn. I wish I had one to play with. I feel like I could eliminate that 60khz with sheilding somehow, or shock mounting the motor.

Is the 8n the flagship presto?

Presto's seem to come up more regular than scully. But there kinda hit and miss from what I gather.

What's the best presto's?

I'd like to point out, if you couldn't tell, I know very little on the subject. I'm sponging everything I can. Im really wanting to cut mono records first, good enough to be made into stampers. Beside a Neumann, what are the options out there?
