It's no problem to sand directly on the label area of a stamper, we use 100mm sanding discs and a turntable to do this more efficiently
Sure you can but there’s a reason it’s usually done on lacquer/dmm.

Re: Label issues

stamper sanded well enough under label? We never tried it before, but it worked! Thanks. But I have some questions: 1) What's the best way to do that without screwing up the stamper? 2) When (and why) is this process required for some stampers? I appreciate any help you can provide. It’s not done o...

from what i remember you want the blank to be at least 30c...stylus heat didn't change from lacquer...might get longer life with more heat though.

i just made one from pvc pipe and top and bottom from aluminium. this is for vacuum on DMM which is much stronger than anything you need. for VR you can basically use any container.

Re: Desk Vibration Dampening

You can add sturdy rubber feet under it but if the (sub) floor is wood it won’t help enough. Best would be to separate where you walk/stand and where desk is….Dont wear high heels when cutting i guess :D

Re: Lathe Build - Disengaging Motor From Lead Screw - HELP !

I have made similair systems with just one motor - Not crazy fast but unless you have to cut 3 LPs per hour it's ok.. Good motor and good electronics needed. Not the cheapest, but as usual you get what you pay... just disengage the carriage from the leadscrew and move by hand as on VMS70 Standard i...

Do you mean SP10? 14” won’t fit on a 1210 unless you drop the strobe tower and relocate the tonearm.
No i mean 1210…fits perfectly fine if you leave original rubber and an extra slipmat. Played 100s on it. Try it.

Re: Need help for Preesing Machine building.

4) stamper place will do this.

Make sure you have cutting facility and plating facility sorted before you start investing in presses.
