so if I understand you correctly the needles suited for heavier materials did the trick?
Do you have to 'overcut' a lot of times?

probably not on that machine, but possible on a larger vinyl cutter

was thinking to exactly this on a large Roland vinyl cutter, but this seems like an easier solution

Any good results with the needle for heavier materials?

also I believe it's possible to repeat the cutting several times possibly to get a cut all the way trough...

unfortuneately no progress on mine. It was missing the embossing head, but more importantly the attached microphone that also serves as start/stop etc. By short circuiting two holes at the mic in I was able to start it - but without cutterhead no progress. Detailed patent with drawings can be found ...

An excellent machine that still functions very well.

had the pleasure of getting a graphic cut done by Opcode
turned out very nice
I get the pressed records soon - then I will upload some pictues here
Mine was 'just' text, nothing as fancy as here

it appears to me that it's wood glue - not the same as 'common white glue' I guess... Two part epoxy seems a bit over the top perhaps... Also that it is a bit hard to control around the edges of the vinyl... It should just be something that make two records stick together, and does not create any ch...

just a nice find:
at a fleamarket I found a large batch of records from the 'american school music project' published by the red cross.
For some reason these are all 12" laquers (audiodisc + pyral) and behold, many of them were only cut at one side.
Now they are going in the oven:-)

Glueing vinyl

somwhat strange question:
for decorative use, I have been experimenting glueing records together.
I used superglue but it reacted in some strange witht the vinyl - it kind of 'melted'

Any suggestions on what type of glue would be suitable?
