do i REAALLY need to break it down, or did you not read all da posts up to 'ere? Noble gases are "Special" helium is one of those gases.. it's visible color wen excited is RED.. and not just any RED, a horrible RED.. Neon is a nicer RED, it looks hot, not horrible.. Argon is GREEN.. which oddly enou...

i'd use argon just for the fact that the money I saved from using it over helium I could use to purchase cigarettes..

There are several different reasons argon is used in particular applications: * An inert gas is needed. In particular, argon is the cheapest alternative when nitrogen is not sufficiently inert. * Low thermal conductivity is required. * The electronic properties (ionization and/or the emission spect...

so, after careful consideration.. I would use a neumann, as long as we can stop using helium for a while.. lets try green.. :D

could make life sweet :D

you could maybe also try nitrogen since its inert, 2 of the same molecule, and it is in the visible light spectrum ..

I need to stop smoking weed for a while.. lol

tbch.. I'm not exactly sure wat changing the gas would do.. if your using noble gases: each one is a color ;] if some how the acceleration limiter was connected to some sort of feedback from da head, it's quite possible that you could change gases to resonate different frequencies.. as long as you d...

if you wanted to keep your gases noble, argon could also do the trick..

I always like green gas lasers...

helium red is sort of a disturbing color..

helium .. y?

I don't need helium to cut a loud record..

n2o would cool it faster, and could be more fun for the operator..

and if the lyrec used a neumann system and not a westrex or ortofon system I wouldn't take the job.. I don't see the point in that.. its redundant..

if your going use a neumann, just use a neumann.. and a tape player..

if I was remastering classics for wat ever reason, especially using like a 100% analog lyrec system, i would use a new needle every time and inspect each one under a microscope prior to cutting the master. I kinna dun care if it would take more time, shit like that is important to me.. if I was luck...

i learned a trick.. it will give your digital recording "analog warmth".. i'm keeping it as a trade secret right now, since I need a job.. if I end up being a fireman instead of a mastering engineer, I'll fill you in secretly.. :P
