List of Confirmed Record Pressing Plants
reading the article on this now and it says that they have bought the presses they once owned...". they dont "quote" Discmakers CEO's words though. Seems like a off the record statement.. Either the journalist has a great imagination or perhaps no more than desperate attempt from the ceo to save the...

Re: Wanted : Neumann VMS70 SX74 SAL74B System

Re: Wanted : Neumann VMS70 SX74 SAL74B System
Actually, looks like Precision Mastering in California also has or had a 102 with a preview head mounted on a board fitted on the left side of the transport. According to his owner they had it before Sterling Sound did . They also had "tube" repro cards.

Re: Cutting a hidden/alternate track - VMS80
hi john, ive done parallel groove on vms-80 running on fixed pitch but never joined grooves like that. you have to have your eyes glued to the microscope and follow the groove and lift head when it reaches the adjacent groove. my trick is to hold the head with the thumb when head drops at the lead i...

Re: Shipping and moving a lathe.
For a belt driven scully, a regular cargo van will cope well but loading it / getting it off can be very dangerous if you dont have a good ramp. plywood boards and dolly as ramp can be risky. you can put casters / wheels on the legs if you can find 4 that match the thread and size of the legs. if no...

Re: Lyrec Motor Capacitor Question
yes, if not motor doesnt sync. but If one the coils is in bad shape or a bit worn out, then its going to be difficult to get same values independently from how close to 120 is that phase. I dont think the current value depends on the phase value (phill collins?) relationship between the coils. I had...

why do you want to change the caps?
alsothe coils also do age as well and phase alignment becomes irrelevant...
