Re: VinylRecorder Groove speed motor noise through record
Thanks David to have taken a calculated risk some of us didn't dare try.... When I first had my VR, I had so many noise problem...ground loops... motor speed noise... and all of what people are describing. I had notice that there was power going to both boards in the main unit.... the RIAA-eq and al...

Re: Left and Right channel sounds different

When I bought the Vinyl recorder Souri gave me a little Rca in and out little pot... to put after the mixer to adjsut the level between both channel.. if ever the sound is not balanced going to th...

Re: Left and Right channel sounds different
The funny thing is I needed to adjust the balance of the RIAA a lot ... my right channel was a lot louder than the left . I re-adjust the balance of L&R with a sine wave, after that the 2 channels seemed almost the same. so problem almost solved. But Why the left channel would be that low compared t...

VR: L & R channels sound different
Hey Guys, With the VR Anyone had this before? My left side is more clear and my right side has more bass.... on Souri's main unit when I do a A-B... I still have low frequency content... When I rip the cut I did ....when I put both channel in center... it becomes a little off phase and I lose a litt...

Re: VR Main Unit RIAA
Hey Guys
Thanks a lot for your answers.... I'm very curious to know why the IRIAA doesn't feel standard on the low end spectrum...
Handcut what do you feel your new setup has brought to the quality of your cuts? What is your new workflow?
Cheers guys
Ben

I have 2 little question here: 1- I've listened and monitored the output of my VR main unit after the RIAA encoding to see what it was really doing and I realize it was only a really intense boost in the High frequency range and not cut in the lows.....Forgiv...

Re: vinyl recorder with precision motor
Souri maybe can get you the bearing, he did for me. Maybe be still had some in his shop. The platter weight is very intense and made my first bearing collapse and broke.... But i suspect it was already weak because without motor and plate i couldn't get a good cut without flutter. Souri sold me the ...

Click and noise problems
Hey guys
I have a little problem here, I have some clicks and some weird noise but ... Im not sure what the problem is.
The clicks are not often but are very loud, more than only a used stylus!
I posted pics of grooves, looks very weird to me!!

Hey Todd,
By end of the line, do you mean you won't be posting here anymore??
By the way, what kind of stylus will be required for your cutterhead? Will my Souri's stylus fit?

Re: Technics and VinylRecorder
Pioneer plx-1000 was terrible for me, more flutter than my SL1200. I bought the precision motor and plate from Souri, since then I didn't regret it!
