If he uses Souri's discs like I do..... they are 2 x 1mm adhesive clear discs.
I tried the 3m 77 spray glue on a normal vinyl... but it left a lot of residue and it was not transparent anymore.

Look also for PET-G it's a little softer than the pc and some places i've looked .... it happened it was cheaper than the PC.

I had the same probleme with the mastering plate of souri.... I felt something knocking very smoothly ..... I just replaced the big heavy plate on my turntable.... just moved it a little bit and readjust it... and voila... it stopped, it's been more than a year now.
