I sent him a picture of Gun oil in spray and he answered ....good good good.
I guess it's ok.
Spray oil is the easiest since it's goes everywhere...careful not to put too much.... I did and ended up with a huge splatter on my disk while cutting.

No build up on the diamond with Staticide??
I asked someone here a while ago about this and the answer was very positive for Staticide.

How do you use Turtle Wax
Hey Guys, Quick question here, I ran out of the pink souri's anti-static fluid and I hear most of the people here use Turtle Wax. I went to buy some wax&dry one, man it leaves a mess on the disk .... it definitely works no problem with swarf or anything, but it leaves streak on the disk. Is there a ...

Re: vertical treble issues on T560?
You need to post an audio exemple of your cut.... it's hard to tell like that. You need to always take care of the high frequency on the "side" ...especially on the VR.... but even major album Lp's that were cut on big expensive machine (Placebo - Sleeping with ghosts) you can really hear the harshn...

Re: Random noise
It can be the diamond or also if you tighten the middle screw to much with unequal pressure it can cause weird artifacts in the cuts... happened to me before. Definitely check your stylus alignement.... It happened in the pas that I had a huge hiss, removed the stylus.... put it back ... and right a...

Re: Cant Get rid of squeaks on cuts, im using a VR, Help!!!
When the diamond is not perfectly aligned it also can create weird noises, happened to me. Also if you're cutting too deep.... What's weird in your audio is that the rumble is more on the left and the squeak on the right. Check carefuly if your stylus is aligned and try to heat your blanks more And ...

Problem with clicks and noise
Hello there, Hope everyone is doing great. I have a little anomaly going on with my T560.... When I cut unmodulated groove it's sounds very cool and surface noise is very acceptable.... but sometimes (not on every disc) there's like click and noises only during the really soft fade ins....but not on...

Re: T560 Modifications - What have you done?
Hey there, On my Interface I have 4 stereo outputs .... 1-2 goes directly from my daw to Souri's RIAA and 3-4 is my monitoring that goes in the mixer on the same channel than my turntable.... In pro tools the same audio is going into the 2 masterbus (1-2 and 3-4) which are identical ... so I can sti...

Hey Buddy,
If you mean for the shaft inside, Souri recommended once a month for a regular daily usage.
that's what he told me

Re: T560 distortion only on one channel
Hey There, I suggest you check your diamond on the microscope, 2 times I had distortion on 1 side only and it was because my diamond was done. The other thing that happened to me was also a burned preamp in the mixer. It also happened to me that I had a bad rca splitter which was sounding like crap....

Re: Staticide for anti-static?
Thanks Hand cut,
Exactly... I felt the irritation in my lungs at first when I used it like a madman...
so it's to use with caution.... and ventilated space... and gloves.
I'm in a huge catholic church...converted into a studio... so it's good for the bad spirits...hahaha!!

Re: Staticide for anti-static?
Hey SueDenim, I just cut a record this morning and I can confirm that it works.... just sprayed a little bit of it on a cloth and rub the platter and also the protective film of the disk...so when I remove the plastic film there's zero charge on it... Thanks to handcut and his explanation about cati...

Re: Staticide for anti-static?
Right on, of course I'll do some experimentation and let you know the results... So far the cationic thing is working... I did a mix of isoproyl, tiny bit of softener and distilled water and I just tried to damp a cloth a little bit... on my platter ... not wet just a little bit... and when I put a ...
