Re: Clicks & Pops VR issue / not on playback
Sorry for my bad explanation... When I cut a disc and monitor while cutting.... there's loads of clicks and pops. If I take my playback just a little before in the song... those clicks and pops don't exists in the cut. It's only when my playback head follows the cut. Also I should mention that when ...

If I take the stylus and drop it a little earlier no clicks. It's only when I'm monitoring while cutting? ...

Re: Precision motor belt
A quick question, was the belt really tight on your setup? .... cause I can have one here near my home, that is a little smaller...
yours is 848mm long x 5 mm and the one I could buy is 800 x 5.8mm
Thanks
Mine is so lose ... it became unmeasurable

Precision motor belt
Hey there,
I feel that lately that on my precision motor for my VR, the belt start to losen up... I'd love to have a backup just in case.
Would anyone have the size of this ... or a clue how to measure this?
Thanks guys
Ben

Re: vinyl recorder t-560 external motor calibration with 121
I'd follow SueDenim if I was you,
When I received my brand new motor, all the pins were all unsoldered inside the box ... maybe shipping... maybe a bad soldering job... I don't know.
I also changed the spindle and for me it worked... It was making it flutter a little even with the motor

Re: vinyl recorder t-560 external motor calibration with 121
Hey , I would say it's moving very slowly forward... but it's clearly visible.. I'd send you a video but I'm not at my studio for the next 10-15 days...sorry. One thing specific that I've learned through out the years with the motor... is that the order in which you start the machines is super impor...

Re: vinyl recorder t-560 external motor calibration with 121
Hey There, I don't know about all the technicality but for sure, how Souri showed me to do it is : 1. Power on the SL but don't start spinning 2. Start your external motor and adjust for it to be a little ahead on your strobe, just a little bit faster (or forward if you prefer) 3. Start the SL and i...

Re: VR cutting problem!Help
That's a freaking good news !! I'm happy for you, one thing that helped me a lot.... always triple check everything before starting a cut even if you're used to it , what lead me to scrap blanks or diamonds... was always me thinking " I know my sh*t, that's how we do it " and then you forget a littl...

Re: VR cutting problem!Help
Hey Buddy, Can you take a picture of your scale please.... it goes so far away... are you sure you're measuring 15g? Your gauge looks really stretched out... careful also not to drop the stylus on the blanks... that's bad also. I'm curious... have you adjusted your cutterhead like myshank has on his...

Re: VR cutting problem!Help
If you feel you're turning and it feels really slick and when you touch you have oil on your finger... it's ok!
If you run out ... you'll feel it when you turn the screw that it's not smooth anymore... Souri told me something like that...lol

Re: VR cutting problem!Help
Hey JHL, The reason I also want to see a video, is your first audio clip has a lot of wow/flutter and pitch weirdness... so it will be a good thing to evaluate especially the dashpot so stretched out. Everything needs to feel smooth and slick. If there's too much tension somewhere.... your wallet wi...

Hey there That's what I thought too.... I had a broken stylus and it sounded exactly like that... If you do your adjustment with a new one ... make sure to upload a video of how you do it... so we can assist you and not break another one.... you'll see it can happen really fast. especially the way y...

Help with Scratches??
Hello Guys, I just finish a big production of black 12"LPs and I realize maybe 10-12 out of 200 have some visible scratches. The sound is not affected by the scratches but it really affects the look. Is there any compound, polish, stuff that I can put and rub to remove the scratch.... like something...
