I found when using the Grampian D head that varing the amount of damping fluid and viscosity takes away the thiness. I have cut both with the C & D head - C head was none feedback model. You could put higher levels on the disc with the D, and I used the Gotham Amp which I had modified by Howard Hol...

Amp for Grampian C cutterhead?

Can anyone point me toward a resource to find out what sort of power amp I should use? The search function's not doing much for me here.

Yeh, sure thing. When I get home, I'll snap a pic.

I don't remember the model offhand. It definitely was RCA, though. Has a metal plate riveted into the bit that hovers over the platen.

Seeking Grampian C cutterhead info

Can anybody point me toward a source to find or buy any manuals, schematics, info, etc. on this? I haven't found too much here using the search function.

I just acquired an RCA lathe with a Grampian C cutterhead on it.
