Helium

Who is using what?
I am using medical grade 99.997 % pure as recomended 13years ago ,with no problems but i have noticed a few people using baloon gas which varies in purity,
Has anyone used both for a considerable time?
Thanks

Helium

Yes at album levels helium is not important,But after a while you will learn what to adhere to and what to use use as a guidline. These machines were never designed for the levels and sounds that they are cutting today.

It 's not dying any faster than it was a couple of years ago

I make that figure more like five commercial pressing plants and a couple of small one man band operations.

Table top lathes?

You could probably pick up a Neumann VMS 66 or 70 for not much more money,Whilst some of these table top lathes are better than others why bother when you can have a Neumann?.

Moss boss, Good idea Simon, I bought my first lathe about fifteen years ago and taught myself to master with no internet or hands on help, all I had was a fifteen minute demo on what NOT to do, In the early days I had the phone put down on me a few times. I don’t think there is any conspiracy just p...

Replacement CRT tube for my NTP Scope

Does anyone know of a supply for some replacement crt tubes from a NTP scope model number 177 520C?
The tube is a Telefunken D3-11GJ.
It would be a shame to scrap them.

we also cut from digital sources without delay line. it's not quite advanced head cutting, but negates the use of the crappy a-d-a portion of even modern delay lines... two stereo channels out of sadie, one delayed, ie offset rather than delayed. the first is the control, the second is the program,...
