floating record VERTICAL turntable
kickstarter public funding of 1.5 million dollars to develop this, an interesting approach but other than being novel, whats the point ???
Re: floating record VERTICAL turntable
None.
Meanwhile, I gaurantee if I posted a kickstarter to raise money for a metal lathe and a cnc to make parts for bladerunner I wouldn't even raise $1k USD.... LOL

Re: floating record VERTICAL turntable
yeah it's really overkill, trendy stuff at this point.
plus there are a few vertical tables out there from the past anyway, I don't see the appeal at all.
I'm sure this player works ok for some records, and not that great for most records.
they advertise as "save space", I mean if you're going to own even 100 records, that takes up much more space than a regular turntable.

With you both. A LOT of snake oil for sale out there, but I take it as evidence of opportunity.... tongue planted firmly in cheek.
